SUPERFLEX credit policy

Bali Ocean Surf understands that unforeseen situations can affect its customers' travel plans.

In certain cases beyond the customer's control, Bali Ocean Surf may offer a SUPERFLEX credit note in lieu of a refund.

Situations that may be considered force majeure include, but are not limited to:

  • travel restrictions or border closures
  • government decisions or regulations
  • natural disasters
  • major transport disruptions
  • armed conflicts or unstable geopolitical situations
  • serious personal emergencies preventing the customer from travelling

In such cases, Bali Ocean Surf may offer a credit note for an amount equivalent to the initial reservation.

This asset :

  • is valid indefinitely
  • is non-nominative and may be used by any person
  • can only be used for the service initially booked
  • is valid for the same type of service as mentioned in the original booking

SUPERFLEX credit notes are not refundable in whole or in part. If the value of the service booked is less than the amount of the credit note, the difference cannot be refunded or converted into cash.

The issuance of a SUPERFLEX credit remains at the sole discretion of Bali Ocean Surf, after analysis of the situation.
Bali Ocean Surf also reserves the right to request any necessary proof.

Article 1: Registration Conditions

The participant in activities organized by Bali Ocean Surf certifies that they can swim 25 meters, have no medical contraindications for surfing, and have read and understood the general terms and conditions of sale and regulations.

Article 2: Reservation and Payment

Reservations can be made online by filling out the reservation form on the website. They can also be made by phone or in person.

Payment for the courses is made in two parts: first, a deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The remaining balance is to be paid on the first day of the course, in cash, in the desired currency: dollars, euros, or rupiah.

Bali Ocean Surf does not accept credit cards.

Article 3: Deposit Refund

For any cancellation occurring:

  • 1 month before the start of the course: The entire deposit will be refunded
  • Between 1 month and 15 days before the start of the course: Half of the deposit will be refunded
  • Less than 15 days before the start of the course: The deposit will not be refunded
Article 4: Course Cancellation

Bali Ocean Surf reserves the right, if circumstances require, due to poor weather conditions (lack of waves, rough seas, storms...), an insufficient number of participants (minimum 2), or events beyond its control, to modify the course schedules, postpone, or cancel them.

In such cases, a make-up session or a refund will be offered. Courses not attended by the participant will not be refunded unless in the case of hospitalization (a voucher will be issued upon presentation of a hospital certificate).

There will be no extra time provided for latecomers.

Any absence or cancellation not notified 24 hours in advance will be charged.

Article 5: Course Refunds

In the event of an injury preventing the trainee from continuing their course, Bali Ocean Surf will be unable to issue a refund. However, the school will offer a non-transferable voucher valid for up to 1 year, to be used at Bali Ocean Surf.

Article 6: Responsibility of the Organization

Participants will be under the supervision of the organization (Bali Ocean Surf) and therefore the responsibility of the instructors when their name is called.

They remain under the instructor's responsibility until the surfboard is stored and/or the shuttle returns them to the initial meeting point.

The organization's civil liability concerning its participants ends outside of these times, within the described limits.

Parents or legal guardians of the participants must ensure that the scheduled service is taking place before entrusting the participants to the organization.

Article 7: Theft of Belongings

Bali Ocean Surf accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to items that may be entrusted to them.

Article 8: Right to Image

By signing up for the services organized by Bali Ocean Surf, you authorize the use of photos and/or videos taken during your course for any advertising and promotional materials.

Article 9: Personal Data

A personal information form must be completed on the first day of the course.

Bali Ocean Surf ensures the confidentiality of the information collected during registration.

This data is not shared with any external partners but may be used to keep clients informed about events or services offered.

Article 10: Insurance

We strongly recommend that our clients have insurance coverage during their surfing sessions and, if applicable, have their own insurance. Courses are provided and insured for individuals aged 9 and older*.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have completed the registration form correctly for the water activity in which you will participate.

Bali Ocean Surf is not responsible for death, injury, or illness caused by activities outside the scope of its services. Bali Ocean Surf will require all medical invoices for expenses incurred during the medical treatment of its clients.

*Any person between the ages of 7 and 17 will be covered only up to 10% of the stated amount.

Article 11: Age Limit

Courses are offered from the age of 5 in the Waves Garden program only.

The maximum age is set at 65 years.

Article 12: Health

The participant in the activities organized by Bali Ocean Surf certifies that they can swim 25 meters and have no medical contraindications to practicing surfing.

The organization reserves the right to refuse a reservation if it deems the participant’s physical, psychological, or medical conditions could potentially harm their own safety or that of other participants during the session.

Article 13: Liability Limitation in Case of Accident

Insurance Company and Policy Name: MALACA TRUST INSURANCE

Coverage Area: Bali area only

Coverage Amounts for the Insured:

  • Death – Disability: USD 50,000
  • Hospitalization, Medical Expenses: USD 5,000
  • Disability: Up to USD 500,000

Claims related to issues with water contact lenses are not covered. Insurance will only apply when the accident occurs during the surfing lesson. An accidental injury means physical harm caused by an accident (external origin) being the direct and independent cause of the loss:

  1. Requires physical examination and medical treatment by a physician.
  2. Your coverage then comes into effect. However, costs are initially borne by the client, and the reimbursement file is submitted by the organization. Additional costs incurred during medical treatment will be the responsibility of the client.

The insurance will not cover:

  • Additional costs (medications prescribed by the doctor, etc.)
  • Prosthetics
  • Non-medical service fees
  • Cosmetic treatment costs
  • Other charges not related to essential treatment

You have the right to request information from the staff about our company's insurance (a copy of the contract). By submitting your reservation, you agree to the terms and conditions of the insurance.

Article 14: Transportation

Transportation is included if all the following conditions are met:

  • For any reservation confirmed by a deposit received at least 24 hours before the first class date
  • Provided the distance is more than 1 kilometer for nearby areas: Canggu Sud, Denpasar, Kerobokan, Kuta, and Seminyak
  • Provided there are at least 2 people registered on the same route for distant areas: Balangan, Bukit, Canggu Nord, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Padang-Padang, Sanur, and Uluwatu
  • For any requests outside these areas, exceeding 7 kilometers, we offer transportation services with an additional cost calculated based on the distance

Departure and return times will be defined according to the itinerary and course schedule.

Accompanists:

  • If a minor books alone, an accompanying adult is required for those under 12 years old and will be transported free of charge.
  • For ages 12 to 18, an accompanying adult is also required unless a waiver is signed by the responsible parties, and will be transported free of charge.
  • For all other cases, transportation is free for the first accompanying person. Additional accompanying persons will be charged 5 USD each.

It is also possible to book a nanny during the surfing lesson if needed for the youngest child in the family.

The maximum number of accompanying persons will be set by Bali Ocean Surf based on transport capacity.

 

 

Article 15: Loyal customer discount

Customers who have already booked and participated in a course with Bali Ocean Surf can benefit from a loyalty discount of 5 % on their next booking.

To be eligible for this discount, the following conditions must be met:

  • have booked and completed a course with Bali Ocean Surf within the last 12 months
  • have left a review on Google and/or TripAdvisor about their experience
  • make a new reservation directly with Bali Ocean Surf

This discount :

  • is valid on a future reservation only
  • cannot be combined with other promotions or special offers, with the exception of the TEMPO
  • must be requested at the time of booking
